A message from the Director "This is an exciting and important time in the development of the Profession of Acupuncture in Ireland with the establishment of the National Federation which will be the Governing Body and our own announcement of the first Bachelors Degree in Ireland. Now there is a clear roadmap to professional accreditation and ultimately state recognition through the development of a framework of regulation. We in Shanghai Acupuncture College Ireland are delighted to be helping to lead this development." As Acupuncture profession in this country is still a self-regulated body. No Acupuncture teaching provider has any HETAC's approval. By claiming of that status is illegal and should be reported to HETAC. Please refer to HETAC Documents: www.hetac.ie/docs/Applicant%20Providers.pdf and www.hetac.ie/links.cmf?sID=20 Our Degree Programme(1650 hours) equivalent to Irish Level 7. It is logical to say that if you are looking for HETAC's approval you have to reach the standards first.
