About the College

Acupuncture, which is aimed at treating the whole person while at the same time treating the particular illness, creates a healthy body in order to support the resistance to disease. When considering treatment Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) looks for the cause while bearing in mind the environment, the climate and the physical constitution of the patient. With the growth and interest in Chinese Medicine within Ireland the Shanghai Acupuncture College offers TCM programs in Ireland. Our Shanghai Acupuncture College is offering both Part-time and Full-time professional Acupuncture training programs as conducted in China.

The Part-time course is covered in great detail over 3 years to diploma level and the Full-time course is completed in 2 years. On completion the successful candidates will be awarded a Diploma in Chinese Acupuncture and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) in conjunction with 6th Peoples Hospital of Shanghai and Jiao Tong University. All graduates may join the China Ireland Acupuncture Association and (previous students have also registered with other major associations) the options to transfer from other European Colleges to Ireland are also available. Candidates will be considered and accepted once they have proven their standard of acupuncture knowledge for the required year.
