Eoin Marshall First Year Student "I am currently in my first year of a 2 year Acupuncture Degree Course at Shanghai Acupuncture College Ireland. The College offers the only Acupuncture Degree Course in Ireland and even though it involves travelling from my home in Cork to Dublin, I have found it a very worthwhile experience. I have a Diploma in TCM but the Degree Course has already introduced me to new treatment methods and techniques which I can use in my practice. I have found it to be a great advantage that all of the tutors at the Shanghai College are practicing doctors who are qualified in both Chinese and Western Medicine. Their description of their work in various Shanghai hospitals has enabled me to get a clear picture of the capabilities of TCM and medicine in general. I am happy with the practical approach taken with regard to delivering this course and I look forward to the remainder of my time at the college."
Jackie Devine- Part Time Diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine "The support of teachers and staff I felt this three year course was very manageable alongside my full time job. Clinical training is paramount and there was ample opportunity to observe highly skilled Practitioners, ask questions about their treatment approaches and to develop strong technical skills through practice."
Lesley Quirke- final year, part time course "I chose Shanghai Acupuncture College Ireland because I could do it part time being a busy mother of two I love the fact that I am getting full hands on experience from Chinese doctors and the course includes a diploma in anatomy and physiology. I also get to complete my clinical practice under the supervision of Su Pin."
